South Sydney Rabbitohs vs Wests Tigers - 28 May - 5:30pm @ Accor Stadium - The Tragic's Match Review

Final Score - Rabbitohs 44 (Tries - Alex Johnston 3, Siliva Havili, Campbell Graham, Cody Walker 2, Jaxson Paulo - Kodi Nikorima 3/5 Goals, Blake Taaffe 3/3 Goals) def Wests Tigers 18 (Tries - Asu Kepaoa, Ken Maumalo 2 - Luke Brooks 2/3 Goals, 1 Penalty Goal)

First Half

The first 15 minutes of this encounter went in the Tigers favour in my opinion, with Asu Kepaoa running 90m to score off a Cameron Murray intercept to score the first try of the match.

Brent Naden was heavily involved making a key tackle and line break, while also making a crucial tap back off a Jackson Hastings crossfield kick to put Ken Maumalo into score and help the Tigers to an early 10 nil lead.

The Tigers benefit from some tired Rabbitohs defence, who give away a penalty for being offside. Luke Brooks elects to take a penalty, coverts - Tigers lead 12 nil 15 minutes in.

16th Minute - The Tigers control of the possesion ended there, with the Tigers kicking the ball out on the full - giving the Rabbitohs ball 40 metres out from the Tigers line, however Keon Kolomatangi drops the ball off a charging run, letting the Tigers off the hook.

21st Minute - Cody Walker forces the ball in goal for a Tigers line drop out - watching up until this point, The Tigers attack is causing our defence issues on Taane Milne's edge.

23rd Minute - Alex Johnston scores off a Campbell Graham catch and pass, Kodi Nikorima converts - Rabbitohs 6 - Wests Tigers 12

Cameron Murray is playing extremely well despite being rushed back into the side in an effort to have some game time ahead of Origin I on June 8, I understand his want to represent his state but personally, I think it's a big risk.

33rd Minute - Siliva Havili scores close to the line off a crash ball from Damien Cook and it's all square - 12 all

35th Minute - Cameron Murray comes off for a breather, replaced by Shaquai Mitchell

38th Minute - Tigers force a Rabbitohs Drop Out

39th Minute - Just before halftime, Daine Laurie throws a cutout pass to Ken Maumalo in the corner after Maumalo provided a linebreak seconds before - Rabbitohs 12 - Tigers 18 and that's halftime at Accor Stadium - Quick Stat! -· South Sydney leads the NRL this year in Errors, 5/5 Wins when leading HT but 0/6 when trailing.

44th minute - Jaxson Paulo makes a key line break, which allows South Sydney to run downfield and allows Lachlan Illias to force a Tigers line drop out.

46th Minute - Jaxson Paulo executes one on one strip on Brent Naden

66th Minute - SIN BIN? Murray held down, No penalty or Sin Bin, Sin Bin in my opinion, Cody Walker picks up lose ball from Illias grubber and scores under the post, Taafe converts – Rabbitohs 32 – Tigers - 18

71st Minute - Cody Walker runs off an inside ball from Lachlan Illias to score – Blake Taafe converts - Rabbitohs 38 – Tigers 18, Rabbitohs attack looking dangerous in the 2nd half.

78th Minute - Paulo intercepts from a Luke Brooks pass and runs 85m to score – Blake Taafe Converts – Rabbitohs 44 - Tigers -18

Full Time - Rabbitohs 44 - Tigers 18

The Tragics Final Comment - South Sydney played well for about 60 minutes, but they need to put a full 80 minute performance together if they want to play finals and challenge the top teams, Congratulations to Alex Johnston on a massive milestone and performance tonight. The Rabbitohs also need to work on stopping errors, making 8 errors in this match.

The Tigers need to work on their ball handling and kicking , with 10 incomplete sets compared to the Rabbitohs 8, some of those coming off kick errors.

That's it for this Match Review.

The Tragic, Signing off!
